I noticed in the UK thread that Underworld54 reported receiving his replacement discs. I just received my discs today (Feb. 29). It was shipped on Feb. 27. Apparently, they attempted delivery on Feb. 28, but I wasn't home at the time.
The discs were inside a folded FedEx Express "Padded Pak" (bubble wrap envelope), which in turn was inside a FedEx Express "Small Box" (cardboard). Unlike the plastic clamshell cases that were reported in the UK thread, the discs were inside individual white paper sleeves with a cellophane window. They were all held together with a rubber band, along with a shipping receipt and a printout of an Amazon.com gift card for $10 (presumably this is to reimburse the shipping costs, which was around $7 for me).
BTW, here's the return address on the invoice attached to the box (FYI only--don't send your discs to this address): Microplant Grace Torres, Deluxe Digital Studio, 2400 W. Empire Avenue, Burbank, CA, 91504. They got my address right, but strangely enough, my postal code was wrong by one letter on the shipping receipt inside the box.
Okay, now the important part: how does it look? I've checked out only the "Time" and "Space" special features on Disc 1. With the defective disc, I had to really bump up the contrast, brightness and sharpness in order to see the grainier lower-half. With the replacement disc, that is no longer present and everything looks uniform.
Great to hear, I'm glad you're happy with the replacements. I do apologize for not posting here that I got mine. I guess I thought everyone was following the UK thread. So once again I'm sorry for that guys. I'll post my thoughts when I view some scenes on Saturday, not that I need too since I definitely trust your judgement hammermill. But I'll give mine a look anyway.
