Hi, i'm about to purchase the GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) card, but i'm unsure about this issue.
I've read several reviews all claiming this: "With an embedded revolutionary HDTV encoder, the 8800 series also supports crystal clear HDTV output up to 1080i" So my understanding is that this card will encode blue-ray discs only up to 1080i but not 1080p? My retailer "thinks" it will encode in 1080p, but is not sure about this matter. Hard to believe it won't encode in the standard blue-ray resolution. Could someone enlighten me please? It would be nice if someone with this card could confirm 1080p with Blue-Ray discs. Thanks. |
