What Does Best Buy Promoting Blu-Ray Mean?

I dont think anyone on Earth actually believes HD DVD still has even a .000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance to gain a studio back, but its not right to advise people to not buy something...If someone is short on money and they see a high definition player for 150.00 and the worker says, you should get a blu ray player instead because HD DVD is going to be extinct in a year, now the customer goes to look at the Blu players and sees them starting at 400.00. That worker will see that person walk out of the store nice and fast. They just lost 150.00

and if you don't warn him that HD DVD is dead and he wastes that 150$ and he comes back a few weeks later to get movies and you stop carrying them so he is stuck with only seeing DVDs which he could have done before he wasted the money on an HD DVD player, what will he do?
