Default Hdmi=hdcp???

Hi guys.

I just found this forum and I would extremely appreciate it if someone could help me out with this issue:

A few weeks ago I bought a Sony VAIO laptop with blue-ray. Then, I bought a projector (Epson 1705 powerlite), which didn't support High Definition playing, since it didn' have an HDMI input. I took it back and I bought a Mitsubishi (Mitsubishi HC1500 1600 Lumens 720p 16:9 HDMI Home Theater), for which the salesman ASSURED me that would play Blue-Ray movies from my laptop.
A few hours ago, when I had everything ready to watch a BD movie with my g/f, the f..... computer showed the same msg was shown with Epson projector: "Your display environment does not support protected content playback" (the movie comes out properly on my computer though - once I connect the projector stops and I see the previous msg).

Please, can you tell me if I need to try sth else, or this msg means that my projector, even if suports HDMI does NOT support HDCP?

Thank you in advance for your help...
