It all depends on the environment in which they are stored. If you have a nice shelf that pets and kids can't get at, then the answer is no. They don't scratch or dent easily. If, on the other hand, you leave your Blu-rays strewn about lying flat on their cover/back sides on every conceivable surface in your viewing area (and/or beyond), then the answer is yes. They do scratch and dent easily.
