Default Sony is brilliant

Sony has done very well in countering HD-DVDs every move. It first started with the Blu-ray Disc's higher capacity dual-layered 50GB discs. Next Sony acquired MGM Studios and together with Sony pictures made them exclusive on the Blu-ray format. Finally, Sony made Blu-ray disc drives one of the key technologies in the forthcoming Playstation 3. With every major studio having joined the BDA or in Warner Bros. and Universal's case soon to join, the format war will be over before Blu-ray even hits the market. I highly doubt that HD-DVD will even go to market, becuase it's chance of success will be minimal at best. It's just a fact that Sony took the greater risk and spent more money to deliver a superior technology and is inevitably going to reap the benefits. Hollywood and the consumer electronics industry are finally seeing Sony's way to the future and I couln't be happier.
