Disney and Apple are about the only two companies who DON'T support UV. If you have a beef with UV, blame Apple. They could have easily joined the rest of the supporters.

That's great, just linked my different movie studio accounts up with Vudu. I have a few movie codes yet to redeem & then some have probably expired. The beauty of Ultraviolet is that I can watch the movies in HD if only I had a better high speed internet service, but for now I have to use the SD versions of the movies. Ultraviolet doesn't eat up valuable harddrive space on my computer like Itunes digital copies do which is 1 reason why I hardly ever redeem any of those.

with a Apple TV it streams from the Cloud.

From my understanding Ultraviolet movies have a expiry date and you will not be able to view your movies past that date.

Also they are only allowed in the US right now so viewing from another country will not work unless they allow it.

I love my Apple TV, and now that all the studios allow you to stream their movies from iCloud, it negates what UV states is the reason they exist. It's clear that studios want to take power away from Apple, and that's fine, but I will never use UV, and will be less inclined to spend the same amount of money on a BD if it doesn't offer an iTunes DC. Paramount and Universal got it right by offering consumers both options.

I saw the movie in a "liemax" digital IMAX 3D theater and thought the 3D was really, really well done, especially during the swinging sequences towards the end. Throughout most of the movie (dialouge scenes, etc.) the 3D just gives the image realistic depth, but during the action sequences and the swinging sequences the 3D is easily the best I've ever seen, even better than Avatar

I have to say the last shot of the movie was the coolest 3d I ever saw when he's in front of the moon and the web shoots out

Thanks, I guess I'll be purchasing the 3D version

Bingo. Frankly, if Apple ever figures out how to also stream iTunes extras from the Apple TV or the ability to load iTunes extras to an iOS device, it's going to be hard for me not to get the iTunes version over the BD.

What's the chances, like Underworld Awakening and Ghost Rider, that Best Buy gets a steelbook for this film?

Hoping for the one on the left, as it will look neat next to my Mi4:GP BD

Unless the figurine version is an Amazon.com only exclusive then it is still possible that Best Buy could also carry that along with a steelbook version of some sort. Maybe either Target or Best Buy will offer an extra bonus features disc along with whatever version they are selling.

Hahaha, that's laughable. $40 (after taxes) for that movie in 3D. And even the movie itself wasn't that good.

Hahaha, I can't believe people here still seriously pay attention to prices this early. They will come down, and if they don't, they will. Later. Seriously.

It's amazing isn't it. It seems like for every title there is at least one person that will complain about the early pre-order price.

Again so the author of the title page knows. "The Amazing Spider-Man" 3D was shot in 2.39:1 and 1.78:1. You could only tell this is you went to an IMAX/IMAX 3D theatre (and the occasional 3rd party labeled LieMAX, not to be confused with IMAX).

The sideways disc art on Disc 1 bothers me for some odd reason.

That's the hot toys Soiderman. Those are like over $200 on their own. I'd be surprised if they have those with the movie.
