Did he make this movie called Rudra Veena? I remember that being one of the non-crappy Telugu movies I've seen. I think it was similar to a Kamalahaasan Tamil movie I saw called Unnala Mudiyum Thambi. Also there was Sagara Sangamam with Kamal and Jayaprada. Shankarabharanam had great music but the movie was awful in its stereotyping of people.

Any new telugu films that are not the disposable variety?

Rudraveena was made by K. Balachander and yes kamal hassan movie was remake of rudraveena.Superb movie with ilayaraja's music at his best.
sagara sangamam was K vishwanath's movie....his other films which are too good are

^Have seen Swati Muthyam and it's Hindi version. Decent, although to be frank, most movies about mentally challenged people are not too interesting to me, has too much of an "actor trying for an award" feeling

Not sure if this is the correct thread for this. But I wanted to check with you all regarding the quality of Excel's hollywood releases. I haven't bought any Excel blu-rays till date. But in somecases have heard of certain degradations in quality of Indian versions. Please let me know your experiences.

Flipkart has the Prometheus for preorder at rs. 899. Seems like a good deal, considering its a new release, a decent one at that.

pq and aq of excel movies are good par with uk or usa release.

just excel use to give 1 disc blu instead of 2 disc , but i guess after 2010 they stopped doing it.

recent releases have been very good , i have 127 hours , rise of the planet of apes, mr poppers penguin.

even some old ones are good like thin red line , fight club ,sound of music which 2 blus extra.


btw guys i think someone mentioned he got 1 disc braveheart instead of 2 , well i had chat with excel cc and they set movies for like braveheart , the longest day , walk the line , french connection are all 2 disc released .

i got the longest day and it turned out 1 disc , got it from flipkart.

excel cc looks very poor i guess.btw all these 3 movies which should be 2 disc are 2010 or before release.

We all know Indian film certification, even though this one got A rated, how erotic this film.
I've heard no uncensored version, no director's cut in India.
