The Last of the Mohicans (1992) - Blu-ray in 2012

I was always under the assumption that Warner's never had the rights to the director's cut, but only to the international release of the film which essentially means the original theatrical cut - oh I hope this can be sorted out ... soon, cause I will purchase this in a heartbeat - my US Fox disc and specifically my player has decided to stop playing the disc, having only just played it once.

EDIT: there's nothing at the moment in the BBFC's database suggesting that Warner's applied for a rating for the director's cut.
