By Phillip Swann Washington, D.C. (March 15, 2007) -- Toshiba's new HD-A2 HD-DVD player is now available for $364.99 at Amazon.com. The company's second-generation HD-DVD player, which was launched last October, has a suggested retail price of $499. Amazon.com last December was selling the set-top for $452, but has now lowered the price again. Toshiba's HD-DVD format is battling with the Sony-supported Blu-ray format for the new high-def DVD audience. Toshiba now is also offering five free HD-DVD movies for the purchase of any Toshiba HD-DVD player. The list of available titles includes: Apollo 13, Four Brothers, Casablanca, The Perfect Storm and We Were Soldiers.
