I seriously cannot wait for this release. I loved this movie. Raimi's Trilogy no longer exists.

I liked it... A lot even... But in my opinion, it's best wasnt even as good as Raimi's worst.

It was the exact opposite for me. I always loved Raimi's Spiderman movies (and still do), especially one and two, but the new one completely blew them out of the water for me.

:shrugs: lol it just didn't really do anything to impress me more than Raimi's. I liked the stories better, cast, the kinda offbeat campiness, the action. While I liked the new one, the whole time I thought about how unnecessary it was.

I think it was Peter and MJ who really flopped the movie. I hate both actors. Mind you, I just don't like Sam Raimi's work in general.

I am so glad this reboot happened and we didn't get Spider-Man 4.

Tobey Maguire was never really one way or another for me until Spider-Man. And I thought he was a perfect choice after seeing the movie. And Kirsten Dunst is like my childhood crush, so..

In the new one, I liked Emma Stone. I think she's just about great it everything. I thought Sheen and Fields were horrible as Aunt may and uncle Ben. And I've always liked Sally Fields. Andrew Garfield was ok... But he wasn't Peter Parker to me.

I was so excited for Spidey 4... And was so pissed when they cancelled it. After seeing this one, I would've still preferred a 4th instead.

I disagree with all of this. Maybe I wouldn't have minded a 4th Raimi if Venom returned with some actual screen time.

Eh, you're entitled to. But for me personally, that's just how it is.

I really hope it does not come in a 3D clear sony blu-ray case but if it does i wont die. But What i dont want them to do is to just have a picture of spiderman on clear plastic out side the package and have an insert in the clear case of the new york skyline like they have done before. "Im looking at you Resident Evil Afterlife and Green Hornet". I've never bought a sony 3D for the most part cause i dont like the way they do the cover but this is one i wont pass on.

i would have referenced underworld, but the problem is that sony botched that release with one disc holding both 2d and 3d (the 2d looking rather horrid). after watching the stand alone 2d of underworld 4 i would go so far to say that the 3d version of u4 looks kinda shitty too (the blacks on the 3d look no where near as black as the stand alone 2d). so glad they are putting 2d and 3d on seperate discs (hopefully forever on all new releases).

Well, I got the 2D version anyway, but I do remember that fiasco. Someone gave me the lenticular slip...
