If it's the one that starts out with B/W Kansas footage, that's not the one that looks decent--But haven't seen the new one up on YouTube yet, which's why I asked whether anyone had seen it hit theaters this month. (Or next.)

Regardless of what Disney does with this, I'm just saying that they'd be stupid to throw-away the talent involved - Raimi and Franco especially - to try and re-create a critical flop they had a couple of years ago. Audiences weren't happy, and they must have sensed that.

(Oh, please, lord, we don't ask much, but LET us someday live in a world where Disney finally dawns on the fact that we couldn't stand Alice...How long must we suffer? )

Exactly! That's the delusion we're trying to slap out of 'em! They tried to "fool" a billion dollars out of college kids with Geek-Week March, and ended up fooling themselves:
Tim Burton falls on his face in the mud twice this year alone, Disney can't resurrect the money they lost on Frankenweenie's entire year of uber-marketing, we're just about ready to throw bricks if Johnny Depp dares show his sad-clown face in an ambiguously-gay Tim movie again, and yet Disney STILL has their delusions stuck in 2010 mode, thinking that fangirls everywhere are swooning over the Mad Hatter.
(Yes, I'm still PO'ed about that "Mad T Party" at Disneyland replacing the Tron rave. )

This thing has had the shortest mass-craze shelf-life since Avatar--or Dark Knight Rises --and yet Disney's still shoveling money into "Maleficent" and painting the big red and white target where lightning is supposed to Strike Twice....And let's not even get into Lone Ranger right now.
As I put in the survey comments, I'll just keep my optimistic faith that Sam Raimi is not Tim Burton--oh boy, is he not --and that he'll end up directing a different movie no matter what Disney does to him.
