Default Front firing or Down firing sub...?
I'm in the market for a new sub. Room size is 16' X 15'.

What is the sound difference <---newbie question) between a front firing sub and front firing sub...? The room that this sub will go in has carpet... Wouldn't the sound from a down firing sub be absurbed into carpet/padding, etc.

Thanks for any advice....
