Hi all,
I've had a region free player for some time now, so thankfully I've been able to watch Criterion releases and other great US releases. I bought a cheap Technika player a while back that hasn't given me any real problems. Apart from the fact that a couple of discs don't work. Cabin in the Woods, Good Will Hunting, The Others and other Lionsgate/Miramax discs simply do not play. A brief message about an update flashes up but after that the screen stays blank. I believe that if an update was released for the player it would work, but updates are rare on that machine and one tat they did release and that I tried to install didn't work anyway. So what I'm asking is: is there another player I could buy that would be both region-free and able to play these discs? It must be a certain data type on the disc that my player doesn't like. Thanks in advance for all your replies, |
