USC has one of two choices:

1. A top-5 recruiting class for 2013
2. Firing both Kiffins

Since the team is still on these ridiculous, unfounded sanctions, I say Haden should go with #1, and just getting rid of the elder Kiffin.

That was kind of the point though. Nobody disputes that Kiffin is on par with Saban when it comes to recruiting. USC's 2013 class might be the highest rated in history. They'll probably win a national title or two with Kiffin despite any in game coaching skills he may lack.

Your biggest problem is that Lane Kiffin isn't a good enough coach for USC. You guys deserve a lot better. He doesn't have the coaching talent.

But that's the thing. Do you seriously think his lack of coaching skills outweighs his outstanding recruiting skills? USC would be insane to let Kiffin go. Nobody else is going to pull the kind of talent he does. And I don't think it's entirely about USC either. Kiffin was raking in top recruits at Tennessee too before he left.

Next year will tell us that. College football is about recruiting and developing talent. We'll see what USC can do.

1-2 more seasons of this and I'll say he's awful... I'm changing my mind on him. He needs to go back in a booth and just recruit.

I disagree. I think it's more about USC the school then Lane himself. Pete Carroll did a great job too.

I'd have said yes but he came into TN like a bat out of hell and started nabbing up players just the same.

Very good year for my Knights. UCF finished the regular season at 9-3 and we play Tulsa in the CUSA title game. Only game we lost that didn;t come down to the wire was @ Ohio St. early in the year. And even in that one the team did play well, losing just 31-16.

Again TN is an high profile school with the right guy, that is a quick turn around. Now if he went to lets say Wash ST and got some good recuits then I would be like dam.

I think the knock on Lane is that people thinks he hasn't done anything to have gotten the jobs he has had.

True, and I guess you can say they were only a year removed (not now) from relevance with Fulmer, but we might get a chance to see that if he has another 2 seasons like this one

Speaking of coaches is there any head coach whose overachieving more than James Franklin at Vanderbilt? That team is 14-11 in two seasons and finished 8-4 (5-3 in conference) this year with Franklin as their coach. Right now Vandy is ranked #17 in the 2013 recruiting rankings. How he's pulling this off at a traditional SEC doormat with high academic standards I have no idea.

I mean when Vanderbilt had their best QB probably ever in Jay Cutler they went 11-35 with him as their starter.

He's always rubbed me as a guy who if you're fair with him he'll be fair with you, regardless of the situation.

We might get a Oregon vs Florida bowl game. The match up look's sexy but I think Florida would smash Oregon. My two main reason's are Oregon won't be able to stop the run and they won't be able to run on Florida.

If Alabama wins the national championship not only will it be 7th straight for the SEC, it'll be the 4th straight for the state of Alabama.

It's hard to believe Auburn won a national championship just a few years ago and they went 3-9 this year. But that's how great Cam Newton was.
