Help with new receiver

I have a Harman Kardon AVR35 so I don't have HDMI or analog inputs and I'm looking to upgrade to something that can take advantage of BR's great sound.

Since my BR player is a PS3, I'm assuming my only option is to get an HDMI receiver ( verses one with analog inputs). As I understand it, I don't need HDMI 1.3 as the PS can do the decoding and just pass the PCM over HDMI.

Cost is a big factor so I'm looking for the least expensive unit that will allow me to get everything from uncompressed PCM or DTSHD-MA. I don't have mutliple game consoles or other av gear to connect so I'm don't need connectivity options or great processing circuits. I expect to let the PS3 do all the work and just need a receiver that can pass through 1080P over HDMI and will do a good job of getting the sound to the speakers.

I would appreciate any suggestions or comments on my reasoning if I'm overlooking something.
