Can a mod nuke the personal/scalping posts from this thread? I don't really want to report any members but this thread is long enough without having to read through stuff like that. If people want to debate irrelevant topics, start a new thread or continue the conversation via PMs.

Wow I love this movie! Looks great and sounds great!

Please Please stop with the scalper talk! Its getting real old and has nothing to do with a release

I'm not a big fan of that version. Perhaps if I find it super cheap, I'll pick it up, but I'm content with the superior US lenticular digibook!

No, that's the Upgrade and Save promotion that runs a couple times a year, not continuously. Unfortunately, it's not running right now. No coupon for you

Soooooo.... regarding the picture quality. I went back and played the 2d Avengers disc last night and it looks substantially better than the 35mm shots of this film. While I will easily agree that the IMAX shots could be labaled "reference", the 35mm are definitely not. They are soft, and to quote a fellow member, "out of focus". I honestly wonder the source some people are using and their seating distance. Maybe its possible that its just more noticable on my TV. I will try rewatching in the bedroom on the 46" that is about 14' away, although that is way beyond the recommended viewing distance. To be fair, I also did not watch the whole movie yet. I only got to the wall street chase scene.

My Steelbook arrived in the mail yesterday and I put on the last 15 minutes to see the fight with Bane.

Cranked the Surround to hear this brutal body blows Bane put into Batman in the fight and boy did it sound fantastic.

Looking forward to watching it in the entirety.

Watched my steelbook last night after receiving it Wednesday and I was extremely impressed. I liked it a bit better than The Dark Knight and Batman Begins as it just didn't feel like it was over 2.5 hours long. Something was always keeping me interested, which is what a movie should do. I'll be posting my review later today.

Does the Steelbook (I'm assuming from Best Buy) have all the same extras as the regular two disc release?

I've never double dipped on any movie, but I'm strongly considering the steelbook as well. I picked up the lenticular edition from Target and it's absolutely gorgeous.

Looking forward to your review! The wife and I will be watching it tonight, it was tough waiting all week...heck I never got a chance to see it in theatre, so I guess a few more days was not a big deal! Can't wait!

The BB steelbook has a 35 minute segment titled Reborn. Haven't heard much about it, but it may be worth checking out.
