Lots of blu-rays have an extended or "directors" cuts included; but on some you're forced to watch the "extended" version because they don't include the original theatrical cut.
Now, I'm not really talking about "Star Wars" here or other films where they've been "updated" with effects, etc. I'm talking about films like "Superbad" where you're forced to watch the bloated version, since it's the only cut of the film on the BD. With "Superbad" I could tell where the bloat was, but since I never saw the leaner version, it just seemed like the film was too long. Another example is "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly." One of my Top 10 movies EVER and I LOVE the restored version. But, it'd be nice to also have the shorter original American cut included. Yours? |
