Can you think of any tittles where the Blu-Ray is so bad that it actuelly looks worse then the DVD version?
Leviathan - http://www.caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergl...mage=0#auswahl The transfer for the Blu-Ray of Leviathan I believe was sourced from an old DVD bootleg which they tried to compromise for by pumping up the contrast and using DNR. The MGM DVD clearly has a different more faithful colour timing and isn't digitally molested. It looks far and away better then the horrible Blu-Ray. This screenshot in particular just says it all: http://www.caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergl...ess=#vergleich DNR, compression and macroblocking on the Blu. Horrible. |
