So right now I've been considering emotiva's XPA-5 mostly just because I hear so many great things about them but I don't want to rule out some of the other great brands out there (Parasound, Rotel, Outlaw come to mind) so I was wondering what you all might suggest for a 5 channel amp that I can get for around 1k, new or used. It will be driving the Polk LSi15's, 7's and LSiC. Onkyo 806 as a preamp for now.
Oh I would mention that I don't want an amp that's bright, neutral is ideal but if it was a bit warm that's fine with me too. I heard from a couple people that Emotiva's might lean a little on the bright side? edit: and while I would like to stay under 1k, if there was something that would be an amazing step up for up to 500 more, id consider it Last edited by BLindsay; 02-08-2013 at 11:13 PM. |
