Beauty and the Beast Blu-ray

I bought the Platinum Edition the day it was released in 2002. I am SO happy I did as it is one of my absolute favorite Disney films and is now damn near impossible to find. However, even though they restored it to perfection, they included 3 versions of the film on the DVD and so the image suffers dramatically with each version. I cannot wait for this to receive a Blu-ray release. With it already being restored, it should not require too much work. But, Disney needs to get their act together with issuing their desired classics in a more timely fashion. It has been 6 years since its last release, so I am hoping maybe October '09 as nothing is "officially" confirmed for that slot yet. If not, then I hope by March '10. Seems sick to wait so long, but this would sell so many copies on DVD and Blu-ray. Even more now than when it was released in 2002 now that people have officially converted to DVD. I mean, for God's sake, it is the only animated feature to EVER be nominated for Best Picture. What do you all think? (and yes, I know we are getting Sleeping Beauty in October and Pinocchio in March '09. Will pick them up 1st day as well).
