Germany La Dolce Vita

A little astounded that there's been not one peep about this release in Germany - I mean, it's only one of the greatest films ever made.

So, here's the good news: An absolutely astounding and gorgeous transfer from a new "restoration" off the original camera negative at 4K, which results in one of the greatest black-and-white scope transfers you will ever see on Blu-ray. Stunning is the only word for this.

So, here's the bad news: Original Italian audio, German audio, and no American subtitles. I know the film well enough that it was just a pleasure to watch it visually. The fact that this restoration, to my knowledge, hasn't even been released in Italy is criminal. Shocking. This restoration needs a US release and quick. This is one of only two Blu-rays I have that aren't English friendly - in both cases not that important because I've seen each of the films numerous times - the other is the lovely transfer of Eyes Without a Face.
