No. None of their non-genre titles have had quick sellouts, or have even sold out at all. You'll likely have 6 months to a year in the very least.

I just asked on Facebook about the extras on Major Dundee specifically and they replied with the following...

Quote:
Yes, Brent. It's a 2-disc set and will have 2 isolated scores, plus a bunch of other stuff (deleted scenes, etc.), including a commentary featuring TT's very own Nick Redman.

The Bernadette (1943) features were listed further down the page.

"Special Features: Isolated Score Track / Audio Commentary with Film Historians Jon Burlingame, Edward Z. Epstein, and Donald Spoto / Restoration Comparison / Original Theatrical Trailer"

Hope that helps.

I wonder if the restoration comparision is just a port form the DVD or if it details new work done (if any).
Also, has anyone heard aobut pre-order dates for Leave Her to Heaven?
And when does Screenarchives start selling releases via Amazon? About a month after release?

I would assume it's the same one as on the DVD, thus making it one of the most pointless Blu-ray extras ever.

If I recall, pretty much every single Fox DVD had a restoration comparison, but they usually aren't ported over to the BD, for obvious reasons.

My order of The Song of Bernadette, The Egyptian and Rapture just shipped, but my earlier order of Christine, Bell Book and Candle, The Big Heat, Cyrano de Bergerac and That Obscure Object of Desire is still pending....

I dont understand the purpose in making these films limited to SO FEW COPIES. What is the benefit here? If they put out a "Limited Edition" of each title, that's fine, but making the only version limited? That's pushing it.

The benefit is we get to have releases that weren't possible before if Sony and Fox were handling it.

I just read the site review. It's good that Jeff mentioned the failure to include the Bio, but failed to cover the now-pointless nature of the restoration comparison. I'm disappointed in the release based on the screen caps. Could have looked much better if new work had been done. I mean look at How Green Was My Valley and Laura on BD in comparison to the previous DVD releases. I'll pass on this one. Plus, a 2.5 hr. long film is squeezed onto a 25GB disc. Not a good sign and likely to cause compression issues due to low bitrate ala Gone With The Wind. The money I could spend here will go toward better releases in the TT catalog.

I'm definitely annoyed that they charge $30 plus shipping and can't even be bothered to put a 152-minute film on a BD-50. I would expect that kind of treatment from Mill Creek for one of their $5 dump bin titles, but if you're charging a premium price you should be giving your customers a premium product. Zorba and How Green were both BD50s at half the price.

Mea culpa--I forgot to change the specs on BERNADETTE to a BD-50. It is a BD-50 and I've fixed the specs. Sorry for any confusion.
