Right. If you can see 721p to 1079p from your position, then you have increasing benefit from 1080p, without the full benefit.

There are certainly some people that won't get any benefit from 1080p. But, they are probably in the minority for big screens. So, I don't know why there is any debate, except from those trying to convince themselves they made the right choice going 720p.

For some character types, they must argue they were PERFECTLY right, and everyone else are idiots for considering something else.

I got LCD ... therefore plasma is a waste of money
I got HD DVD ... therefore Blu-ray is a waste of money
I got 720p ... therefore 1080p is a waste of money
