PS3 and Audio---I'm an idiot

So, I have had my ps3 and about 15 blu's now for close to 2 months. I finally leanred a week ago I can press display on the remote and see over the movie the sound, time left, etc. Well, tonight I am watching I am Legend for the first time (fantastic, but strange movie) and I press audio for shits and giggles. Well, I see the english 1, 2 french, spanish, etc. Something made me go back to english 2 as I was on 1. Certainly sounds 10000% better and I laugh because I see the logo go from dolby digital to True Hd. Obviously, the sound was freaking night and day in a good way. Mind blowing for that matter. So, all this time I was not listening to the best audio on all my blu's? LOL

So, how come the ps3 doesnt automatically set the audio playback to the best soundtrack? Is that something I have to do everytime, which isnt a big deal?
