If you want a PS4 on launch day, I would suggest pre-ordering it. I did that with the PS3, and I received 1 of 18 or so PS3s allocated to my local Gamestop. They called me, and I strolled in and picked it up. No drama.

From GAME here in the UK. There's a few places here taking orders from the day it was announced.
