I would love to see a John Carter sequel........ but no way in the world that is ever gonna happen now. Unless it's direct to video with the budget of those Disney Buddies dog movies.

I think we will see zombie Charlie Chaplin in Gold Rush 2 before we get another John Carter movie. I always said John Carter would make a perfect anime series, but I think the trend of anime based on western lit is over.

My pick would be another Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy movie, maybe at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

Not exactly a sequal, but there are 2 Doctor Who movies, so it could be one. I would love to see a Doctor Who movie. My idea would be the events that lead the first Doctor to take his granddaughter and the Tardis and leave Gallifrey or maybe the 8th Doctor and the time wars.

Like others on here I too would like a John Carter sequel. Why didn't that do well in theaters? It had tons of action and it was really fun.

Why no Dragon Tattoo movies? I thought the first movie did really well.

Independence Day 2, aren't they already trying to push this out? I thought I saw recent Roland Emmerich interview on some other site about his pitch for the next story.

Really bad marketing, really bad title(Unless the title is an Icon, it cant be the title), even sabotage inside Disney itself. Also the fact that so much of John Carter has been stolen over the years, that it looked like a rip-off to the untrained eye. Also the planetary romance sci-fi sub-genre is pretty much dead(Avatar the obvious exception). Not sure if March was a good time for it either.
