I just watched Mark Hammil in Sushi Girl the other day - awful movie but Hammil's performance was pretty entertaining. If he does show up in the new Star Wars movies, I think they should let him add his kooky side he developed from all the years of playing Joker and this Sushi Girl character. An elder Luke Skywalker would seem more interesting if he was more similar to Yoda (mix of kooky and wise) rather than a bland Qui Quion Jin or Ben Kenobi.
Perfect idea!

Have you got JJ's number, or do you want me to call him?

Chewie's severed head, Marvel characters and Greek Titans. By far the funniest thing Oswalt has ever done.

Edit: and what's ever more hilarious are his jabs at certain movies, which people did actually complain about.

Star Wars Episode VII still set for 2015; Disney will release a Star Wars film every year afterwards

Quote:
At a multiplex not so far away, in a galaxy you already live in, you are going be getting a whole lot more "Star Wars" very, very soon and on an annual basis. Just like filing your taxes and rotating your tires, the "Star Wars" franchise is going to become a yearly ritual.

Today at CinemaCon, Disney announced that "Star Wars: Episode 7" would be coming in summer 2015, and that a brand new "Star Wars" movie will follow every summer, alternating between the new trilogy and the standalone offshoot films. Having paid $4 billion for Lucasfilm last fall, it's clear Disney wants to not only recoup that cost, but also start making some mad cash, and a new "Star Wars" movie each year -- combined with Marvel's ongoing, expanding cinematic universe -- is going to make the studio the pre-eminent powerhouse around town. And 2015 alone is going to be insane for Disney with both "The Avengers 2" and "Star Wars: Episode VII" dropping. Madness.

Yoda, Boba Fett and a (young) Han Solo are all expected to get their own movies (though no writers and directors have been announced yet) while details on where J.J. Abrams and co. will take the main trilogy next are under wraps (though Patton Oswalt has some suggestions). But basically, we know that six movies are coming (the next trilogy, three spinoffs) so from 2015-2020, it's going to be geek heaven at the movies.

This doesn't sound good. That deadline will create unfinished and rushed films.

Keyword "expected" meaning not 100%, but I wouldn't care for standalone movies to be about already-established characters. Do we really need a movie about a young Han? I'd rather see something taken from the books, the 'good' video games or something completely original.

Nah, I think Disney will manage it like The Avengers, which has one or two movies per year.

Why are we jumping to conclusions? We know that there's been at least three different scripts commissioned, and that Arndt turned in an outline for a trilogy. Two of the scripts are apparently spin-off films, and of course the other is 'Episode VII'. They have PLENTY of time to work on these films and make sure they're good. We're still over three years away from the release of the first spin-off film. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are so quick to jump to conclusions that the films will be rushed and end up awful...

Yes they were. And look at Marvel, who has released one or two films a year since 2008, and they're all very good. There is no reason to worry.

Exactly! You only have to look at the Marvel releases to see that releasing a film a year doesn't automatically create rushed and awful projects. It's in capable hands and the series will be fine; it's an amazing way to fully explore a universe that, for many, kickstarted a love affair with cinema.

Disney aren't just prepared to let it all go to pot by plucking deadline dates out of thin-air: this will be a thought-out and precise process.

EDIT: Walt's Ghost beat me to the Marvel thing and now it looks like I've copied

Walt released Fantasia and Pinocchio in the same year.

Just saying.

Looks like we'll be getting a Star Wars overload.

That's definitely not a bad thing.

Not to mention completely different casts and crews for the spin off films. Meaning multiple production schedules can operate at the same time.
