These were actually my first covers - I started on them last year and decided to finish them.
It was difficult to find large key art for Star Trek IV... ...and the key art for Nemesis was a bit cramped so I "zoomed out" and filled in the margins with some of the background imagery from the teaser poster. I also couldn't find the title treatment for Star Trek VI so I used the title from Intrada's 2-disc release of the score: http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.7475/.f If I ever revisit these movies, I'll do something fancier! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by ScottDS; 04-24-2013 at 02:33 AM. |

Re: Star Trek IV - Customaniacs has a text-free version of the home video key art (with only Kirk/Spock) but not the theatrical artwork... Trekcore has a low-rez version of what I needed but the best version was from EFX... it just wasn't text-free. Re: Star Trek VI - I needed the TT from this movie (6, not 4), and I couldn't find it on EFX or elsewhere, hence the need to extract it from the album cover. Someone uploaded the home video TTs from the DVDs (the chrome-style versions) but I didn't need those. And I didn't want to spend money on credits for MovieposterDB. :-) Man, what a hobby! My current work-in-progress. Making a Marvel Blu-ray 3D Template while making an Iron Man 3 cover simultaneously.
[Show spoiler] Also just finished my custom Django Unchained cover last night. Message me if you want the printable version. ![]() |

Having been unable to find the custom covers I am searching for despite an exhaustive search of this thread, let me pose the following to this talented community. Although I am most pleased with the number of Disney animated features that have been released lately, I am NOT a fan of the bundling of theatrical releases with their far inferior direct-to-video sequels. I am even less pleased to see their titles combined on the existing Blu-ray covers. I would love to find custom covers for the following, such that they display ONLY the theatrical movie, with NO mention of the direct-to-video filler that also happens to reside on the disc. Specifically:
Brother Bear Pocahontas Mulan The Fox and the Hound Atlantis The Emperor's New Groove I do not include the dual film releases of the two Fantasias or the Rescuers since all these films were theatrical releases. Also, by looking at the cover for Hunchback (especially the spine), there is no indication that a direct-to-video sequel is included (all to the better!). What do folks think, and any help out there? Thanks!! |

That Django Unchained cover is cool, nice work. IMO, What would make it even cooler is if you removed the "Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Copy + Ultraviolet" stuff from the front and back. |

Rather than list both movies on the cover, it merely lists the TV movie sequel as a Special Feature. This is probably a road that would serve your collection well. Since "Pocahontas" and "Rescuers" are the only such Disney titles I own I'm not inclined to work them myself, but perhaps someone like Nissen would work a commission? |
