They show this on the Sony channel over here but it's cut to shreds.
Will wait for the DVDs to go down in price before I pick them up. |

The last episode was the best this entire season. And the ending KILLED me. I haven't laughed that hard, period, in a long time, especially at Community. It gives me a little more hope. |

Never tried a streaming site before but will give it a go at some point as the cuts in the show are beyond silly.
There was an episode where there was a group like a alcoholics anonymous meeting or something, and they were sharing personal information, it cut to the character from the group briefly and then just cut to everyone being shocked, what were they shocked by as the guy didnt say anything, stupid!! |

This episode was pretty good... until the end. I don't particularly mind them using the cliche of all the characters having crossed paths at one point, but I felt the part where they all came to the final realization was pretty cringe-worthy. I think they could have come to the same conclusion with more subtlety.
Also, to build up that whole thing with Chang, just to have him abandon the plan that easily? I mean, I'm glad he didn't end up going there, and his moment with Abed was actually quite touching, but come on..... Though I suppose that was the only unpredictable thing about it, since the City College dean (his name escapes me at the moment) being on the other end of the line was entirely too predictable. Loved the Gollum reference/call-back and the transition sequences to the flashbacks. Good episode, but the end brought it down.... a lot. |

Judging by the list of cancellations NBC put out today, there's hope that this may not be the "series" finale tonight. But like some people have said, isn't this the graduation episode? What story is left? I'm going to really miss this show. For real.

Anyway, wow, reaction to this episode seems to be extremely bad (just look at the AV Club review and the comments). Honestly, I was really dreading this episode due to them revisiting the darkest timeline, but I honestly was pretty satisfied with the episode. It wasn't close to the best, or even the best of the season, but I thought it worked and gave us insight into Jeff's feelings for the group and how Greendale affected him. I think the darkest timeline portion was too long and the ending was rushed as a result, so if this is the end, it really only gives closure to Jeff's character, which is okay, since it started off with Jeff as the central character, but I'd like one more season (even if just a 13 episode order) that will allow the rest of the characters to finish off their year at Greendale. Overall, the latter half of the season was better than the first half, so while ultimately, this season did turn out to be the worst season of the show by a fair margin (I think it took a lot of the bad parts of season 3 and amplified them), I think they will be able to command the characters better and produce a season with quality at least on par with season 3. And I know they virtually had to write out Pierce last minute, but hmm... I'm not happy with that being the last of him. He was nice enough to record a voice for the puppet episode after he "left" the show, so it would be nice if they could work something out where he could be in the first and last episode of next season if it happens (which I would assume would be the last). But I know that's only wishful thinking. |

Sounds like the show is going to get picked up. Sad about 'Go On', but it seems NBC is re-hauling their comedy block altogether to make it different. Sad when well written shows go. But at least we'll likely see season 5 of 'Community', the show too tough to die.

I think NBC is resigned to the fact that they are going to get crushed by the Big Bang Theory at 8:00 so rather than put a new show against it they'll just put Community there and let it get the ratings it gets. Premiering a new show against the Big Bang Theory would immediately doom the show so they can let Community play it's 13 episodes out and then maybe after the winter Olympics they can premiere a new show or move one of their new shows to the 8:00 spot.
