Just think, the documentary itself is 7 hours long, and they have not even talked about extras yet, which I'm sure will be included as well. I am one happy little Jason nut.

That's a good point but even if there end up being no special features,we still have a 7 hour doc.however I am hoping for some great special features.I wonder if they would attempt a commentary like they did for NOES doc

By coincicdence I was chatting to a Twitter friend about this the other day who believe it or not is a Friday fan but had never even heard of His Name Was Jason. I mentioned this new documentary never thinking for a minute that the announcement would be made 2 days later.
Never Sleep Again was great and very informative even on the poorer films so I have high hopes for the and really can't wait to put aside a full day to watch it all.

Excellent News!!

I'm definitely a bigger fan of the Friday the 13th series than NOES (even though I love Wes Craven's original and New Nightmare), so I can't wait to see a comprehensive doc for such a fun series. Color me intrigued.

This is awesome news. Love Friday the 13th.

I had to laugh at there comment on DVD's though. "the DVD format is not only out of date and going extinct in the near future"

What a stupid thing to say.

Too bad Warner Bros or Paramount don't have that same mentality about DVD's going extinct then maybe we'd finally get the rest of the films on Blu-ray.

For something like this though, it kind of is. For DVD, it would probably have to be spread over 3 DVDs. I assume they could get this on one disc, all the extras on another.

I won't go as far to call DVD extinct, but it is out of date for us movie lovers.

This is excellent news. I haven't seen all of the movies yet, (I've seen 1, 2, Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X, and Freddy vs. Jason) and I really need to bone up on them, but I thoroughly enjoyed Never Sleep Again, and am now looking forward to this. The documentary could be even more entertaining than some of the lesser film in the series...

The SCREAM ones BOTH did, did they not? I bought the trilogy and BOTH of the big docs they made are included in the set...on Blu-Ray.

This should be a fantastic watch! I wonder what else they can talk about in regards to Part 1. Seems like they've said about all you can on the movie.

Maybe some long lost gore* shots? A fan can dream!

*I recently rewatched Friday the 13th Part 2 for maybe the 50th time, and still just couldn't believe the amount of footage that was cut. Real shame.

Never Sleep Again is my favorite behind-the-scenes documentary ever made. This is now my most anticipated release of the year, including theatrical films.
