The Freshman (1990)

A great comedy in which Matthew Broderick plays a naive film student who finds himself working for an importer who seems strangely familiar. Broderick is perfectly cast but this is one of Brando's greatest roles, he's deftly at ease with the comedy and even manages a few notes of pathos. The film gets better on repeated viewings as you spot more of the allusions but remains good natured fun. Well worthy of a blu, I think Sony issued the DVD so it would be ideal for Twilight Time
