As much as I like sneakers, I think they've become out of style. In the summer, everyone wear flip flops and in the winter, everyone wears boots. Nobody seems to like sneakers anymore. Not sure why. They're the most comfortable type of footwear out there.

not me. i do wear sandals (crocs sandals, not the type most people wear; and i don't wear flip flops, hate that thing between my toes), but that's usually just around the house (inside). if i'm going outside or going somewhere in the truck then i put on my sneakers; unless i'm gonna do some yard work, then i'll wear my work boots. but my sneakers is what you'll find on my feet most of the time. i love sneakers, they're so comfortable and universal. and today i bought a new pair.....

All I generally buy are Jordans. I honestly like the way they feel and not just because they are jordans. the last NON jordan I bought were Brooks for running.. Very light and confortable shoes

brooks are great shoes. i used to have 2 pair of the adrenaline and a pair of the trance; all at the same time. they were so light and i hardly noticed them on my feet even after being in them for many hours at a time.

if they'd have had the brooks trail runners today when i was shopping, i would've gotten those instead of the new balance. there's nothing wrong with the new balance, i just liked the look of the brooks a bit better.

i know i could've ordered them from either amazon or zappos, but i really didn't wanna wait so i went with the nb.

Where do you live? Just curious as to why you say this.

New York. Right now, all I see are flip flops!! Unfortunately, I can not wear those since they blister my feet like crazy. So, I have to wear sneakers and look out of place. Oh well.

Born and raised in the LES(what is now known as the East Village) and now reside in BK. I do not feel out of place at all.

This thread is tempting me to buy a new pair of sneakers. My current New Balance sneakers are still fine, but they do look quite dirty. They're over 5 years old and they're all I wear when I'm not at work. And since they're white, the dirtiness really shows. Now after reading this thread, I'm thinking of buying a new pair. Maybe I'll get a nice, cool fancy color this time instead of white.

Nice. Born in BK. Foams are nice I don't wear them personally except the barkleys. But I see why people like them.

I know it's going to be tough to find them at a reasonable price but hey I've been lucky in the past. If you don't mind, I would love to know where to get them cheap. If you can please pm me about any info on them that would be great

Thanks. Nice thread. I used to get Jordans, Addidas, Pumas, and Nike when I was in high school, but then when I got my own money, for some reason I just lost interest (not because I couldn't afford them). I'm still on the hunt for some decently priced black, red, and white 11's though. A favorite of mine since middle school (as well as the Gray and White 9's). But now all I buy is Vans, so I don't think I'm much of a Sneakerhead anymore.

Anyway, to answer your question: the high tops are "Desert Suede Ombre Blue Sk8-Hi's", the leopard print ones are "Dorens", and the orangish/brown ones are "Ginger bread/Camo Era 59's".

I dont know if these are the exact version you are looking for, but they are due to be released on 8/31/13. The sad part is if you dont get them on the release date it would be almost impossible to buy them at the retail price.

The Barkleys are cool just not for me. I feel they have too much going on. Here are a couple of my OG Foams.

I have had the reds since 2002 and the blacks since 2003(my 3rd pair)

Like most younger boys in grade/middle school, I always wanted sneakers. Specifically whatever was "hot" at the time. I.E. Jordans
Once I was in High School, I switched to Chuck Taylor Converse and never looked back. I estimate I wore solely those shoes (various pairs) for a good 10 years.

These days, I wear $10 Wal-Mart shoes. Works for me
