I don't know. I appreciate the extra detail and the clarity of the Japanese blu-rays but I much prefer the colours of the DVD set (going by that comparison of course). The darker look is how I remember the show, especially with regards to faces and uniforms...

That's not me saying that the DVD colours are the "correct" colours (nor am I saying that if the Japanese version suddenly appeared for £30 over here that I wouldn't grab it of course...) but that's how I remembered watching them again and again and again as a kid, that darker hue and rougher film stock look, and so for the time being I'm more than happy with my DVD copy to help me revisit my youth
