GT >>>> Kentucky, and I'm pretty sure has been every year since forever. One has been in 15 consecutive bowl games; the other has been in 14 bowl games EVER.

Both teams have won the SEC twice since 1950, and one of them hasn't played in it in 50 years.

Brag about Kentucky being "quality" when they can compete.

Also, in college football, a loss isn't a loss. The quality of the team you lose to matters. Bama loses to A&M? No big deal. Bama loses to Chattanooga, they're out of the NC.

The "quality" statement was in reference to Louisville's schedule. We are the only major team that they play, so yes, we are a "quality" team in that sense.

Are we good this year? No. I don't expect us to even best our 2 wins from last season.

EDIT : To me, as a UK fan, a loss is a loss. We are playing for nothing this season except the fact that we can screw Louisville over. If we had a chance at competing for something I'd agree with you.

Anyway, time to enjoy my game.

I'm a Mercer Alum. It's our first year playing football in 70+ years... we play non-scholarship football (this year). Of course we're going to be bad.

Do I expect GT to have a shot at running the table? GT. Otherwise, Mercer. (GT rejected me, those bastards... and then called up begging after some people turned them down)

I did go to a basketball game between the 2 over Thanksgiving a few years back in Atlanta and wore my Mercer gear. We got killed. But we did make it a really close game at home the next year (and blew it late and in OT). We did beat a ranked USC in OJ Mayo's debut though

Loving this game so far. Our D has kept us in it. This is the loudest I've heard the stadium in a while. It seems everyone knows what is on the line. Offense is firing on 0 cylinders right now, we need to change that going forward.

Obviously this is a big rivalry game, but Stoops has really energized the fan base. Put that with his strong recruiting skills and the future looks good for Kentucky football.

A fumble to end the half is NOT what I want to see. The D is what has us in this game but they are going to be burned out by the 4th if the O doesn't keep them off the field. Our offense HAS to start catching passes. Stoops is lighting into them right now.
