How lazy are they? They already shot and mastered the entire show in HD. If they want to people to actually buy something they need to at least try on their end.

Because if they don't think it's going to sell enough, they won't bother. That's why shows sometimes end up being released only as MOD. Other times they are released on BD and people get the idea in their head that they won't release the next season on BD so they don't buy it since it's happened before. Which actually just causes them to go to DVD only because it didn't sell. Also some people don't find certain shows to be re-watchable.
