I've never measured this but I wouldn't think this would cause any audible difference assuming nothing resonates.

We are talking with Scott pretty much every day lately. They shipped about a half dozen pallets of power-x drivers last week(should be here today/tomorrow) and the focus is completely on the Triax 15s now. All the motor steel is on hand and being machined today. They just got the steel in late Monday so we haven't been slacking.. Then it is just a matter of assembly, testing the Triax driver production run, and finally packing/shipment. I'd give them 48 hours(ish) for all of that.

A few days behind but that I can live with after recent events..

We'll be very happy when all the pre-orders are fulfilled. Using expedited shipping on everything just to get it in Scott's hands is not inexpensive. It is nice to know Scott is using all USA sourced steel and he is machining it all himself.

Also, FYI...once all the Triax pre-orders are fulfilled the pricing is almost certain to increase. Anyone who wants to best subwoofer in the world for $2799---get your order in soon!

Thanks. I did hear about the new center channels. I'd like to hear them. I just started a DIY SEOS build, we'll see how they turn out, I might be moving away from goldenear.

We are anticipating the first batch of Triax drivers to ship today from Scott. Big props to him for making this happen in the time-frame involved.

Also, we look to have 14-16 XV30s (I believe most/all are the down firing versions) either here now or in transit as part of our Triax trade-up offer.

We are planning on $1249 each for these. Everything is the same(30 day trial period, shipping included in price, etc) except these will have a 4 year warranty instead of 5 years. We'll work up a bit of a discount for 2(or more) too. First come, first served on these. No "waiting list". Just email me support@powersoundaudio.com and I'll handle the order process for you. Thanks!

Hey guys,

After being out of the game for awhile, I'm starting to rebuild my system one piece at a time. Where better then to start then with subs.

A little history, I used to have dual SVS PC-12 Plus subs and I loved the hell out of them (see my setup on the left). Unfortunately I moved to a new house and had to sell them as well as my Paradigm Studio 20's/690 center.

So here's my dilemma...I'm selling my Paradigm Ultra 12" and was looking to get two descent subs and right when I was about to pull the trigger on Dual SVS PB12 NSD's, I saw a few threads on the net about Power Sound Audio and the XV15.

I spoke with Tom to get a quote to ship to Canada, a very reasonable and competitive price compared to SVS (which I could pick up locally at Sonicboom, a Canadian SVS retailer). Still, more than two PB12 NSD's but less then two PB12 Plus's.

My budget was initially around $1400 and that's pushing it. But it would be a shame to pay $1400 for NSD subs knowing I could get dual XV15 subs for $600 more. Tom said just one of these baby's outperforms two NSD's.

I know, I could get one now and wait to add the other later...but that's not happening with the wife. I need to get both of these baby's at the same time.

I think my only hesitation is price and appearance really with the XV15's. You got to pay the extra cash for the better finishes. But in the end it's the performance that really matters to me.

Any thoughts?

Chris

Upcoming production run to fulfill some wood veneer orders. Some of these are not spoken for as of yet so anyone looking for unparalleled subwoofer value combined with real American wood veneer cabinets...we finally have a bit of stock on hand.. Lots of XS30s (Cordovan, Expresso, American Cherry, and a few veneered Triax hiding back there as well.

I'll get better pictures soon (once everything is moved to the assembly/testing area---much better lighting).

Welcome back! If I remember correctly, Tom said the XV 15 was very comparable to the PB12 Plus. Since you have had a couple of Plus's I think you should go with the 15s just to let us know how they compare. Thanks in advance.

MY XS 30 is here and sounds amazing, a big improvement in my bass. Well crafted, rigid construction, tight accurate bass. Much more than my beloved PW2200. Tom thanks so much for everything you did for me.
