Default Strange flicker (sort of)

This isn't the same traditional flicker problems or resolution lines I've seen on the net with HD sets, so it'll be hard to explain. I have a 47" 1080p Philips LCD, the picture quality is great, but I've noticed on a couple blurays a weird lighting/flicker issue. For instance, in 300 when the Spartan is saying "then we shall fight in the shade" the sky is fairly intense color/light but the clouds are dark, and in the clouds is a weird grainy white flicker. There are several instances like this in 300. Also in Planet Earth on Blu, during a sunset in which intense color is reflected in the water while white birds are migrating overhead, as the picture fades, that same weird grainy white flicker appears for a couple seconds where the water is.

Could this be something to do with the tv's features? It has several that auto-adjust for lighting, perfect pixel hd, dynamic contrast etc. I'm ok with electronics but I'm by no means super tech savvy, so I'm not sure what could be causing it. But the picture is so good and I've had absolutely no other problems with it, it just seems to do this during scenes where theres a strange mix of color/contrast or something (I guess).

Any ideas on features I should disable during these movies?
