Hello all!, How easy is it to back up Blu-Ray discs to a computer hard drive?
I have a decent sized DVD collection and am looking to start including Blu-Ray discs now that the format war is done. However, I don't want the hassle of having to swap discs, search for boxes, etc. As such, I'm looking at using a Mvix MX-780HD hooked into a Denon AVR2308 receiver via HDMI to handle playback. The Mvix device will be configured serve files from a 5Tb (3.8Tb effective) NAS (network attached storage) unit. The NAS will store backups of all of my DVDs and the Mvix supports the creation of a virtual library. I know that the Blu-Ray discs are much larger than a standard DVD, and I can deal with that when the time comes. I just need to make sure that I can copy the disc off to a hard drive and play it back. |
