You're right, I was going by the DVDs (as I never looked for it on the blu-rays, being as it wasn't all that memorable when I first watched it). A bit naughty of EiV to stick it on there - sure, the boxset is a 12 but the individual FOTR disc is still a PG. Ah well, as you say at least the disc is complete.

No, those extras never got ported across. The Gollum one (from TTT) and the Lord of the Rings Symphony one (ROTK) remain exclusive to those boxsets. I'm not sure that we got the National Geographic one in the FOTR boxset over here - I know some countries did (Austraila did and I believe the US as well) but we just got the 4-disc set and the statues (the NG special got an individual release around the time the film was released in cinemas).
