Dude, you've gotta bear in mind that these aren't massive companies doing this type of soundtrack release but boutique labels, run by people who have plenty of passion, but who don't have plenty of time and/or money to deal with the challenges involved in clearing songs, locating source elements, remastering them and so on. Heck, FSM have just shut up shop because the process had become such a grind.

So what if the LW set is missing a couple of songs? I'd never even dreamed of getting a set like that, and I'll be eternally grateful to LaLaLand for making it happen. Oh, and the whole point of them being limited isn't to shaft the consumer, it's because they simply can't afford to produce these releases in perpetuity.

Some people aren't interested in learning, they only want to school others with their opinions. The facts about how these things work are constantly being explained and some people can't hear the explanation because they're too busy listening to themselves talk and thinking up their next response. How many clueless things has Viper said in this thread alone? I don't hate you personally, you just happened to have posted the first of a few comments that made me respond. I just wish some people could reign in their constant criticisms. Go into any Twilight Time thread and how many times have you read "I would never give a single cent to Twilight Time." Don't you just want to go, "Great! Then get the f**k out of this thread."

Again, I apologize that you were offended that I included you with the rest, but by being offended you must agree with me in some way... otherwise you wouldn't be offended.
Some of these threads drive me bonkers - and I've snapped at more than a few folks. I was suspended once for getting into it with one particular jerk. Still don't think that was fair, but ... the law of the internet gives everyone the right to express themselves. But these "negative" people are beneath you. You actually work in the field. You actually contribute to the movie world. The rest of us … we only watch. Sorry if I seemed like a jerk. I was only trying to make a point - poorly. I'm just now recovering from a bike wreck and the flu, so, to be honest, I'm not sure how clear my focus was. Sorry that I added to your stress.

Sky_Captain, who I respect, has as his sig the line "Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience." I'm often unsuccessful, but I've tried to learn from that statement. Occasionally I can step back and just shine it on, but sometimes … not. I've read those idiot posts in about Twilight Time. I hope I haven't made any. I just bought two more TT BDs and they were both great. So, thanks again for the work you do & don't let the bastards get you down - 'cause not only will they go to work on you, but they'll enjoy it. I hope you have a great "silly season", Cliff, and get way more good posts than bad. Now, to help with my stress, I'm going to have beer and watch a movie.

I love the Lethal Weapon films and in fact ordered the boxed set Blu-ray.

With regards to the soundtrack discussion, it's pure ignorance of the economics and volumes involved. As someone who does have quite a few soundtracks, I am extremely thankful for companies like Intrada, etc who release these scores. Yes, it costs me a little more, but to have it in lossless is well worth it and why I just paid $19.99 for Thor: The Dark World from Intrada. This Lethal Weapon soundtrack isn't in my wheel house, so I'll pass.

Cliff, I would love to see a CD release of Jablonsky's Transformers Dark of the Moon. Maybe next year with the new movie?

Any chance the new discs in the box set will be available individually? I hear the new transfer on LW is very good, unfortunately I have no interest in 2-4. All I want is the new transfer with the original cut, is that asking too much?

Why is it anytime someone criticises something on this forum you instantly get a load of 'waah, I hate you... life's not worth living' responses?

All I said was: "Eight discs but they still miss out Eric Clapton's Pilgrim and War's Why Can't We Be Friends? Hardly definitive then."

I stand by that statement and defy anyone to argue with it.

I wasn't being 'mean', I wasn't dishing out a 'personal attack', I wasn't 'label-bashing', but still I deserve 'hate'?

Whatever..........................

Maybe. Ask Leo Getz. Anything you want, Leo Getz, get it?

See, and my view is, "8 DISCS and all they missed was 2 songs. BUT look...8 DISCS filled with HOURS of never before heard Michael Kamen SCORE...which fans of film scores and Michael Kamen have been waiting DECADES for!

There. I argued it. And ordered the Score Box Set 1 minute after it went on sale. Totally worth it for us film score fans!

As long as something is either missing or not up to that person's expectations people will whine, ***** and/or complain about it. It's theoretically impossible to make everyone happy giving everyone the exact same thing, some will be happy, others will complain.

I for one am beyond ecstatic that Hangar 18 was recently released on Blu-Ray, a movie that I watched multiple time on HBO in the early 80's and have NEVER seen it in any format other than 1.33. It never saw the light of day as a DVD release (at least not in the US), and I honestly believed it would forever remain in the domain of VHS.

Now I am not saying it's a great movie or anything, but I am grateful for the opportunity to see it in BOTH widescreen and HD, and plan to make it one of my purchases at the beginning of next year. It may not be perfect (as Blu-Ray releases go), but I will take it and be thankful someone actually wanted to release this title for those of us that wanted to own it.

Wasn't being sarcastic. I've heard nothing about this and there's no such listing on this site. I thought Superman Returns was long dead & buried.

The Superman Returns CDs are of the score not the movie. Sorry for the confusion.
