The results today went for us I just hope we can get a win tomorrow over everton and keep the pressure on the likes of Liverpool and man.city.

Be a tough game Martinez isn't defensive like Moyes so they will go for it looking forward to watching this one

Meanwhile, SAFC continues the inevitable slide to relegation. Another weekend ruined with my pathetic team of third raters (in my opinion)

Ahhh, another 1-1 draw. Great.

But I guess under circumstances (being down 1-0 late away), I'll take it. Especially at Emirate's.

Waaaaay too stressful. Disappointed but can't complain. We had a few chances we needed to capitalize on but Everton had some dangerous looks and we were lucky they didn't score more than the 1.

Not gonna get any easier with Napoli, Man City and Chelsea being the next fixtures.

What's frustrating from our vantage point is that we dominated the time of possession, especially in the first half, but we had nothing to show for it.

And yeah, that is a pretty tough upcoming schedule. But do us a favor, lose at least one of the EPL matches, so we can catch up a little bit.

I almost broke my screen watching Giroud and Flamini waste the best chances in this game. The Walcott assist should've been finished by Giroud not Ozil. And Flamini can't hit a ball to save his life - he looks like incredibly awkward when he tries to do literally anything offensively.

I have to say Everton though looked a VERY decent side. Martinez is a great coach.

Ha ha. Easy there tiger. You'll need your screen for the remainder of the season still.

BTW, I must point out that for someone that's not known to coach conservatively (to play for draws), Martinez sure has racked up a lot of them early on in the season. I hope this trend will change going forward.

True but at least the chance was taken.....Giroud's shot in stoppage time was fantastic and really unlucky not to have scored the winner.

You must be more than happy with Martinez and results in general though?I always liked him, even at Wigan he tried to play the game the right way,I think Everton done the perfect thing in appointing him.

Oh, no doubt. I've been a supporter of him from the get go. I also liked him when he managed Wigan, and when he was a studio analyst for ESPN. He is a well spoken guy who is a good tactician, and he has done an admirable job of keeping us in the top 3rd of the standings thus far. I hope we can finish the season in the same position because a CL birth would be a nice one this time around. Or at least a Europa League one.

Champions League yes but sometimes I wonder if the Europa League is detrimental to a clubs season,it's great to be in Europe but at what expense?

I think it is safe to say Arsenal,City and Chelsea will finish in the top four in some shape or form which of course only leaves one spot probably between Everton,Spurs,Liverpool or Utd.

That's true. I can't remember when was the last time that the league was this competitive at this stage of the season. There are at least 7 or 8 really good teams out there right now, and no one has been able to pull away from the pack yet (although Arsenal does have a slight edge right now). It's going to be interesting to see how the standing will unfold in the second half of the season.

I'd say that the standard has dropped to be honest with you,I don't think there are any real good teams.

I would have always said I was confident at home but they way things are panning out at the moment then I'm not so sure.
In saying that we did start the season looking like the old Utd with a comfortable win down there so why not? we have shown glimpses of what we can do but the inconsistency has been a problem.

Probably our best chance of silverware this year tob.
