Wouldn't count on it. Disney charge a premium while making minimal effort. Look at what IM3 and The Avengers got and that's what we're in store for.

How would you describe Iron Man 3 3D BD slipcover? That shiny piece on his chest plate is awesome! Made me so glad I ordered from US.

Do you think Thor The Dark World will have the same effect for the new 3D BD?

They did send me an email, informing me of the new product URL.

Yes! Exactly! That's what upsets me now. I have to make a total order of US$125 in order to enjoy free shipping to Singapore. This complicates things for me.

This may be our first look at the covers for Thor 2. These are from Best Buy Canada, don't mind the price they go down on release date lol

I hope those aren't final. They are seriously ugly. Why not just use the posters?

EDIT: Nevermind. Got it. I like them.

I know Disney may have quit doing the lenticular covers for the 3D releases, but come on....that 3D cover (if it ends up being that) is begging for the lenticular effect.

I like the 3D cover and agree its begging for the lenticular effects.

With Amazon changing the pre-order, and now these covers showing up on Best Buy Canada...we must be getting close to an official announcement. Iron Man 3 was announced in late June (theatrical release in early May in the US) for a Sept 24 release. If IM3 is any indication, late December or early January for the official announcement of Thor for release in March. I suspect with the holidays...we'll hear something once everyone gets back in the office in the first week or two of January.

Rumored release dates I've seen are March 4 and March 18.

I like the poster artwork with Thor and all the characters. It kinda reminds me of the Iron Man 3 poster.

Pretty sure that was the point lol. Will probably see similar designs for the rest of the Phase 2 films.

The 3D cover is good. Don't really dig the 2D one

If the quality of the 3D cover follows Iron Man 3, with the shiny bits, I'd consider getting it. Otherwise, I might just go for 2D.

I didn't think the 3D was that good in the cinemas anyway.

I wonder if Captain America: Winter Soldier will have a similar poster, too. I can see Cap holding onto Scarlett Johansson that way.

I actually like the poster for Thor 2 better than Iron Man 3, despite the similarities. For some reason the Thor poster looks like great photoshop, but Iron Man looks like bad photoshop.

It's too bad they cropped and changed the background and coloring of the Thor poster for the blu-ray cover -- It looks like crap now.

And if I'm really going to be nitpicky, there's an uneven space between Natalie Portman's name and Tom Hiddleston's, which means it may not be the final cover.
