Yup. Great setup and looks very interesting. Definitely getting that Se7en vibe from it

Just read in the EW that this show is going to be like American Horror Story in that each new season is it's own separate story -- including a whole new cast each time.

Yeah, that's mentioned in the first post of the thread. It's an anthology series.

Enjoyed the premiere. It has a great cast with Harrelson and McConaughey. And Alexandra Daddario next week.

This was as good as a show can be IMO.
HBO does it yet again.
A+ .just fantastic.
Very very similar vibes to Zodiac/ Texas Killing Fields to me and I love it .
Both leads are so great and perfect in the roles.
I also loved how the show really wasnt violent or gory or graphic at all unlike other crime shows on Network that are so over the top gory it is disgusting (Hannibal, criminal minds, etc.)

That's what I'm talking about. A great pilot! I never thought I'd say this, but McConaughey was fantastic. Can't wait for the next episode!

Pretty good numbers. 2.3M viewers doesn't sound like a lot, especially compared to The Walking Dead, but for a premium channel with paying subscribers, that's pretty good. Plus they take into account re-airs, on demand and HBO Go.

Only Killer Joe and he wasn't this good. IMO, of course Looking forward to Mud and DBC, though. He is hitting his stride, for sure.

I'd still say he was fantastic in that but yeah definitely in the high point of his career recently

This feels like classic HBO. Loved the first episode, lots of potential.

Great potential here, but I don't see how they can make an anthology out of this.

The plan is to pick up with a new case, new characters, and new setting each season. As long as the quality is consistent, I'm down.

Yeah, like American Horror Story, but with detective cases and new actors each season.

Looking forward to the rest of the season as well as what the future holds for newer seasons.

Oh man, Mud and Dallas Buyers Club are his two best performances! You should enjoy those if you think he's hitting his stride. Glad he made the transition from romantic comedies.
