Let us hope that -if- this movie is as bad as everyone is starting to think it will end up being, Fox will then consider an early release (perhaps even selling back the rights to Marvel/ Disney).

Imo, The FF comic has some of the best vilains in the entire Marvel catalog (Galactus, Annihilus, Doom, Namor, Kang/ Immortus, Living Pharaoh, Skrulls/ Super Skrull, Mephisto, Molecule Man, Ronan...)
I agree and having good Villians to me is a huge part of how good a comic run can be. Thats why Xmen, Batman, Avengers, spiderman and a few others are so good.

Wolverine is moody and dreary enough of a character that Arofonsky might have pulled it off

most times I just roll my eyes at him cuz he gets so abstract that he ends up getting too far up his own a$$

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that! I don't know how I did, since I was very hype for that.

Oh, and by the way... Hello there, Snicket. How you doin,' baby?

This is a joke right? I mean, Fox is just putting this out there to MAKE Marvel buy the rights back. Fox isn't this stupid are they?

I hope this movie sucks so the rights would return to Marvel soon and make everything right.

I'd like to see the Lee/Kirby Fantastic Four on screen instead of "the Fratboy Four."

Wish Marvel Studios had the rights. They've proven they can do their source material justice whereas Fox hasn't. Not only would we most likely get a great Fantastic Four film out of Marvel Studios, but you'd get characters like Silver Surfer, Galactus, Dr. Doom, The Watcher, and Annihilus in the MCU.

I'm almost always a "wait and see" guy, but I'm admittedly against this movie.

I take it that they're not going to become the Fantastic Four from getting hit by cosmic rays during a space mission? You know, considering all of them look like they are still in college.

They all take hits from a cosmic bong at a frat party and get powers that way.

This feels like a big mess. But at the same time, all four are damn fine actors. I'm not sure about Teller and Bell and how they fit their respective characters, but Mara and Jordan are two I'd be very, very interested in seeing.

What's so great about this Michael P. Jordan anyway? I didnt see Fruitville but he was absolutely forgettable in Chronicle. The only one memorable in that film was the Leonardo DiCaprio lookalike who's playing Green Goblin in AS 2.

See that one and then try to say he doesnt have major acting talent.
He was also great on the Wire as a child actor

Jordan is a great actor. Fruitvale proved that. Also, in Chronicle and even his recent release, That Awkward Moment, you know he has the charisma, charm and swag to play a character like Johnny Storm.

Maybe Reed would be obsessed with proving that the Negative Zone exists, he finds it, the four explore the Negative Zone -- since the FF are supposed to be explorers -- and while there they're subjected to cosmic rays.

It's a change, but not like it matters at this point.

Seriously? You don't hope the movie is really good? Why would anyone hope a movie is horrible? And what makes you think Marvel Studios would automatically make a better film? Because everyone loved Iron Man 3 and the way Mandarin was portrayed, right? RIGHT?!

This thread is full of laughably comical (but all too typical) fanboy rage, where message boards flood with whiny comments about how bad a movie will suck based on every little bit of information that comes out. There's a reason Stan Lee tells filmmakers never to read internet forums.

What's so great about you? Nothing. See how easy I can do that. I don't think anyone is saying he's great but he has some serious acting abilities that can't be denied no matter how hard you try.
