Default Keyes and Dunn will lead Blu-ray session at Home Media Expo

A very nice read from Video Business news:

By Marcy Magiera -- Video Business, 5/21/2008

Dunn

Keyes

MAY 21 | Blockbuster chairman and CEO Jim Keyes and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment president Mike Dunn will lead the opening session of Home Media Expo 2008 on June 24 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

The execs will discuss Blu-ray Disc technology and what needs to be done to ensure the new format’s acceptance by consumers.

James L. McQuivey, VP and principal analyst with Forrester Research, and Eisuke Tsuyuzaki, VP of corporate development and general manager of Blu-ray for Panasonic Corp. of North America, also will participate in the session, entitled “Moving Forward and Building Growth.” Execs from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment also will demonstrate BD Live interactive technology.

“Blu-ray discs present tremendous growth opportunities for the industry, yet some pundits theorize roadblocks exist to widespread consumer adoption,” said Bo Andersen, president of Home Media Expo organizer the Entertainment Merchants Assn. “This distinguished panel will provide studio, retailer and analyst perspectives on how Blu-ray Discs can and will impact the future of the home entertainment industry.”
