Best description of Quantum of Solace I've ever seen.

I'm delighted Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig are working in tandem for the next Bond film again. I like where Skyfall left off--such as the "recasting" of M, Q, and Moneypenny--and I look forward to seeing Mendes pick up where he left off.

Stand-alone movie or GTFO.
I think QOS would have turned out much better had the studio not been pressured into being Bourne-ish, and if the film had a different director than Marc Forster. The film (especially the action scenes) were edited to death to where there is almost no way to decipher what is actually happening. Almost. Not to mention the best Bond girl in the film is thrown away pretty quickly, and we're stuck with a boring Bond girl for the entirety of the film. But I personally didn't mind that QOS was a continuation of the Casino Royale story.

I thought Skyfall was considerably more "fun" than the other Craig films, personally. It's a veritable laugh riot next to Casino Royale.

While QOS was, in my opinion, not a bad film, it was not a good Bond film. Forster has some good work in his resume. I think he works better when he does things like Stranger Than Fiction and Monster's Ball instead of blockbuster efforts such as Quantum of Solace or World War Z.

It's a mixed bag for me. There are a lot of nice little moments in the film, but the editing always makes me cringe. I can say I'm not one of those people who goes into a Bond film with a checklist of Bond-isms I want to see (apart from a musical title sequence and the gun barrel of course). But other than that, I'm not one craving for gadgets or submarine lairs. I just want a good story, interesting characters, and to be entertained. If they can do that with gadgets and submarine lairs (just an example), then that's cool too.

Has anyone started up a conversation on who we would like to see do a theme song?

I personally wouldn't mind seeing Paul McCartney do one more. The man can still rock.

Her voice might be a little soft for the job, but I'll throw Melody Gardot into the ring.

Either way I'd like to see more jazz/soul in the future over pop.

Goldfrapp would be my choice, they were hinted for Casino Royale but didn't get it.

Bowie. It's odd to me he hasn't yet. He's been rumored to be doing it multiple times too.

I'd love to see Echo and the Bunnymen handle a Bond theme. Ian McCulloch had the coolest voice of the 1980s, and his vocals have aged well.

I also bet that Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music) could record an amazing theme song.

"The Killing Moon" sounds like a Bond song in itself.

007 will go toe to toe against a classic physically imposing henchman in the 24th James Bond film, MI6 can confirm.

Casting has begun for the main assassin, with the search specifically focussed on someone extremely physically fit and over 6' 2". Whoever wins the role will have several altercations with Daniel Craig's 007 throughout the film and also a driving sequence. Former sports athletes will be under consideration along with anyone 'very unusual'. The character has the working name of 'Hinx' (which may change before shooting starts) and is said to be between 30 and 45 years old.

The goal is to find the next Jaws or Oddjob - a henchman so different to anything that has gone before that they will become instantly iconic in the film series.

MI6 can also confirm that Bond 24 shooting starts in December and will run to June 2015 at Pinewood Studios and on location.

They should just get David Bautista to do it.
