Wishing for Dark Angel on Blu-ray

I have been watching season 2 on El Rey. It is being shown in widescreen 1080i, and it looks really good. It does not appear stretched to fill the screen at all. It does not appear to be an upscale either - it looks like they are using a legit HD source for their broadcasts.

This makes me wonder if there will be an official Blu-Ray release soon. This is because El Rey is also showing The X-Files in widescreen 1080i, and it has already been confirmed that show will be released on Blu-Ray sometime next year, or possibly late this year. It has also been confirmed The X-Files Blu-Ray release will be entirely in widescreen. And remember, both Dark Angel and The X-Files were both Fox shows. So, since they are doing one, maybe they will do the other.
