Default GRID - Steering Wheel Disaster

I bought GRID on Wednesday and was psyched to use it with my Logitech G25 steering wheel. During the first race, I was all over the place and couldn't keep the car on the road. As I was driving down a straightaway, the car just started roaming from left to right to the point where I was turning the wheel left and right like a madman just trying to compensate, but I wasn't able to keep the car on the road and would crash straight into the wall after a short time. Once it started roaming, which was soon after accelerating, there was no way to keep it on the road.

I went into the settings and tweaked some of the force feedback and advanced wheel settings. One in particular was for helping the car stay in a straight line while driving. Just to gauge where it should be set, I set it to it's highest setting. I don't remember for sure, but it may have been on 4 and I set it to the max of 10. When the race started, I wasn't able to turn the car at all no matter how far I turned the steering wheel. Why the heck would they have a max setting like that?

So, I went back in and lowered it as well as experimented with the rest of the settings. I played for about an hour trying to tweak the settings and nothing produced an even remotely normal driving experience. I finally got totally frustrated and used the dual shock 3 and the cars drove fine. After spending an hour of tweaking with the wheel settings and not being able to get through one lap without slamming the walls over and over, the first time I used the dual shock 3, I came in first in my car class. There's definitely something whacky going on with the wheel support. It seems like the game wasn't developed properly to utilize it.

Has anyone else tried using a steering wheel with GRID and if so, have you had these issues? If anyone has successfully used a G25, can you post what settings you're using?

Thanks.
