They do have a promo for new customers, $10 rebate, but when it didn't apply upon placing the order, I cancelled and attempted to reorder, and it then said promo had already been applied. So I emailed customer service about it. Not a deal breaker and I'll just keep the second order in place, but $10 discount on top of their already low price would be nice. No idea if their inventory count is reliable, or if they fulfill orders chronologically from order date, as I have no history with them.

And the answer is 80.....until Amazon has it WAY cheaper. I would love to find out how many orders got cancelled once that Amazon preorder popped up. I just couldn't help being one of them. My walls are fine without a poster.

They're very inconsistent at Amazon; I've seen plenty of old (old) items, be they movies, books, random tech, etc retain their pages. Indeed, sometimes it's useful in regards to third party sellers.

Man... you are going to miss out on so much great stuff. Oh well... more for us.

But you don't seem to realize how expensive not only the restoration but the licensing would have been. So they have to recoup those costs somehow. And this was the best way for them to do so.

You can always get the regular release of the extended cut.... and hope WB puts out the original one day. Or get the original cut on DVD. Sure you're missing out on the bonus disc of extras.

But that's the breaks for not buying the more expensive LE set.

Call me crazy, but I don't see what the big deal would be about blind buying the LE version of this. Personally, if I hadn't seen the movie, I would've blind bought it as well because I know it would be something I'd like. I actually only watched it for the first time a couple months ago, but was well aware that the blu-ray was coming and I was indeed buying it when it did.

As much as I love and enjoy the film I would have a hard time recommending it as a blind buy. I think people on the fence about blind buying it should at least check out the trailer to see if it would even be your cup of tea.
